About VeraPure™
How is VeraPure™ unique?
VeraPure™ is a refined crystalline compound of active ingredients from aloe vera. Our proprietary process produces a product that is uniquely shelf stable. By removing impurities, VeraPure™ has minimal degradation in effectiveness over time, making it an ideal ingredient for product formulation to enhance a base product’s existing therapeutic benefits. The purity of VeraPure™ minimizes the impact on other product properties (such as on color, taste, smell) while still providing the beneficial properties of aloe.
Uses of VeraPure™
The potential uses of VeraPure™ are many. The healing properties of aloe vera are well known and VeraPure™ harnesses these healing properties in a concentrated form.
VeraPure™ Powder can be mixed with different liquids, lotions, gels or creams for use as a balm for healing of unbroken skin. It can be mixed with water to form a 0.2% solution that can be used as part of a daily skincare maintenance routine or ingested in small amounts for greater stamina and strength (10cc of the 0.2% solution would be the equivalent of a single serving of aloe vera juice).
Properties of VeraPure™
VeraPure™ is produced by a proprietary process that isolates bioactive ingredients from the aloe vera juice. We believe the majority of this crystalline product to be a mixture of low molecular weight mono-saccharides, disaccharides, and tri-saccharides.
VeraPure™ is a unique, low molecular weight product. Compared to the monosaccharide mannose, which has a molecular weight of 180 grams/mole, VeraPure™ has a molecular weight of 246 +/- 7 grams/mole, as measured by Vapor Pressure Osmometry (VPO). This low molecular weight allows VeraPure™ to be more soluble in lotions, creams, or other products.
When tested with Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), the thermogram (see Figure Thermogram of VeraPure™) shows two different crystals, with melting points at 88.1 °C and 116.5 °C, and evaporation points at 183.8 °C and 210.9 °C.
Analysis of VeraPure™ by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was compared to analysis of an Acemannan product(1,2) that has previously been patented and commercially produced. Both analyses reveal similar presence of [OH] hydrogen bond bending vibration, [CH] group stretching and bending vibrations, as well as COO-unit vibrations.
